Die Datenbankstruktur, nach der die GridVis-Projekte speichert, wird ständig verbessert. Daher kann es nach der Installation einer neuen GridVis-Version notwendig sein, die Datenbankstruktur bestehender Projekte zu aktualisieren. Dieser Vorgang wird als Datenbank-Migration bezeichnet und wird innerhalb der GridVis durchgeführt.

Bevor Sie ein Upgrade auf eine aktuelle GridVis-Version durchführen, erstellen Sie ein Backup Ihrer Projekte. Um die Funktion Backup erstellen verwenden zu können, muss das Projekt in der aktuellen Datenbankstruktur vorliegen. 

Der Migrationsprozess kann je nach Größe Ihrer Datenbank mehrere Stunden bis Tage dauern. Dabei wird Ihr Computersystem stark belastet. Stellen Sie sicher, dass Sie mindestens 20% freien Speicherplatz auf Ihrer Festplatte haben und wenden Sie sich ggf. an den Systemadministrator.

Sobald ein Projekt eine Aktualisierung der Datenbankstruktur benötigt, erscheinen im Bereich Projektaktionen die Hyperlinks Datenbank migrieren und Datenbank neu laden. Um ein Projekt in eine neue GridVis-Version zu migrieren, führen Sie bitte die folgenden Schritte aus:

  1. Klicken Sie auf den Hyperlink Datenbank migrieren. Dadurch wird das Fenster Migrationsinformationen geöffnet, in dem Sie detaillierte Informationen zu den einzelnen Migrationsschritten sowie deren Dauer erhalten.

  2. Klicken Sie auf die Schaltfläche Start, um die Migration zu starten.

  3. Nachdem ein Migrationsschritt abgeschlossen wurde, erscheint bei dem jeweiligen Schritt ein grüner Haken. Klicken Sie auf die Schaltfläche Close, sobald alle Migrationsschritte abgeschlossen sind.

Nach der Migration der Datenbank muss Ihr Projekt gegebenenfalls neu lizenziert werden. Weitere Informationen zum Lizenzierungsverfahren finden Sie im Bereich Lizenzierung mit Janitza ID-Server.

The database structure according to which GridVis stores projects is constantly being improved. This means it may be necessary to update the database structure of existing projects after installing a new GridVis version. This process is called database migration and is performed within GridVis.

Before you upgrade to a current GridVis version, create a backup of your projects. To be able to use the Create Backup function, the project must be available in the current database structure. 

Depending on the size of your database, the migration process can take several hours or even days. This places a heavy load on your computer system. Make sure that you have at least 20% free space on your hard disk and contact your system administrator if necessary.

As soon as a project needs a database structure update, the hyperlinks Migrate Database and Reload Database appear in the Project Actions area. Carry out the following steps to migrate a project to a new GridVis version:

  1. Click the Migrate Database hyperlink. This opens the Migration Information window, which provides detailed information about each migration step and its duration.

  2. Click the Start button to start the migration.

  3. After a migration step has been completed, a green checkmark appears next to the respective step. Click the Close button once all migration steps are complete.

After database migration, your project may need to be re-licensed. More information about the licensing procedure can be found in the section Licensing with the Janitza ID Server.

La estructura de base de datos, según la cual GridVis guarda los proyectos, se perfecciona continuamente. Por esta razón, después de la instalación de una nueva versión de GridVis puede resultar necesario actualizar la estructura de base de datos de los proyectos existentes. Este proceso se denomina “migración de base de datos” y se ejecuta dentro de GridVis.

  3. Una volta completata una fase della migrazione, viene visualizzato un segno di spunta verde accanto alla relativa fase. Fare clic sul pulsante Chiudi non appena sono state completate tutte le fasi della migrazione.
